Insurance Law

Appeals

The large volume of trial litigation work at the Firm generates a corresponding number of appeals. Our appellate lawyers are experienced with appeals and special actions at every level of the state and federal courts, from administrative and justice court appeals to appeals before the highest courts.

Construction Law

Attorneys of the Firm have represented developers, contractors and subcontractors in litigation and transactional matters regarding commercial and residential construction. Our experience encompasses both residential and commercial construction matters and disputes including condominium and homeowners' association litigation, collection matters and defect litigation. This practice also includes providing coverage opinions and interpretations to insurance carriers who write policies for the construction industry.

Subrogation

Attorneys of the Firm have developed expertise in this area through years of representation of many of the insurance carriers providing coverage in the southwest. They have worked with carrier subrogation recovery programs and insurer's staffs to assist them in enhancing their recovery and collection efforts. Services to insurers include site control, evidence preservation, expert identification and appropriate photography to preserve the record of the incident. Our attorneys have worked closely with these carriers to improve the standards for subrogation prosecution and recovery processes. Insurers who focus on improvement of policies and procedures in the subrogation units have seen substantial improvement in the number of dollars they have been able to recapture.
