Mr. Lewis has served as an articles editor for the Arizona Law Review and has also assisted the Defense Research Institute with a compendium on unfair claims practices.

He authored “The Physical Contact Rule for Uninsured Motorist Coverage in Arizona: Where We Were, Where We Are, and Where We Ought to Be,” 36 Arizona Law Review 1033 (1994). In his authored piece, Mr. Lewis analyzed in detail problems associated with Arizona’s Uninsured Motorist Statute §20.259.01, and recommended amendment of the statute to preclude fraudulent insurance claims. In 1998, the Arizona State Legislature amended the statute, making changes similar to those recommended by Mr. Lewis.

Since 2000, Mr. Welsh has taught at several Arizona Bar Association-approved community and private colleges, teaching a wide variety of courses in litigation, business law, corporate law, and real property law.

He has presented the following:
